How to Maintain Ceramic Spray Protection Between Washes

If you’re using a ceramic spray like Tough As Shell, your wash process matters. Here’s how to keep that slick protection lasting longer with every wash.

The key to ceramic spray longevity is simple: the right soap, the right technique, and a safe topper that boosts performance without buildup.

Why Maintenance Matters

Most ceramic spray coatings don’t fail—they’re just not maintained correctly. Using harsh soaps, abrasive towels, or skipping protection altogether can reduce their life by months.

A simple, consistent wash routine will keep your ceramic spray performing like new.

The Maintenance Wash Process

1. Pre-Foam With The Super Soaper

This pH-balanced foam soap won’t strip or degrade ceramic sprays. Use it in a foam cannon or sprayer to loosen dirt before rinsing.

2. Rinse Thoroughly

Use pressure to rinse away foam, dirt, and loose debris. Work top-down in sections to avoid drying.

3. Spot Dry With Safe Towels

Use the Massive Drying Towel to blot panels. For tight areas or follow-ups, use the Orange Wash Microfiber.

4. Apply Tough As Shell As a Topper

After drying, mist on Tough As Shell panel by panel and wipe off with a clean towel. It boosts slickness, protection, and water beading instantly.
