Honeydew Snow Foam vs. The Super Soaper – Foam Thickness & Lubrication Test
Honeydew Snow Foam is a fan favorite for its scent and thick foam, but can it beat The Super Soaper’s dwell time and lubrication?
Chemical Guys Honeydew Snow Foam is one of the brand’s most recognized soaps, known for its sweet scent and satisfying foam coverage. But when it comes to wash safety — lubrication, cling time, and dirt removal — scent alone doesn’t win. We tested Honeydew against Jimbo’s The Super Soaper to see which soap offers the best balance of foam quality and paint protection.
Test Setup
- Foam Cannon: Chemical Guys TORQ Professional
- Pressure Washer: 1,800 PSI electric unit, 1.1 mm orifice
- Soap Mix: 2 oz product to 30 oz water
- Conditions: 82°F, partial sun
Foam Thickness & Cling
- Honeydew Snow Foam: Dense foam initially, ran off in ~90 seconds.
- The Super Soaper: Slightly creamier foam, clung for ~150 seconds.
Longer cling means more time for surfactants to loosen dirt before rinsing.
Lubrication
We used a paint-safe lubrication meter to rate slickness during contact wash. The Super Soaper scored higher, allowing the mitt to glide with less resistance — reducing the risk of swirls.
Rinse Behavior
Honeydew left slight suds residue in panel gaps. The Super Soaper rinsed clean, making drying faster and reducing water spots.
Verdict
If scent is your priority, Honeydew is pleasant to use. But if you want maximum wash safety and better foam cling, The Super Soaper is the better choice for both enthusiasts and pros.
