Chemical Guys Mr. Pink Review – Why We Switched to Jimbo’s Super Soaper
We ran Mr. Pink through our foam, lubrication, and rinse tests against Jimbo’s Super Soaper. Here’s where Mr. Pink works—and where Super Soaper pulled ahead enough for us to switch.
Quick Verdict
Mr. Pink: reliable, pH-balanced, and decent foam on lighter dirt.
Why we switched: Super Soaper gave denser foam, higher lubrication, and a cleaner rinse with the same cannon, dilution, and machine—meaning safer contact on soft/black paint.
Pros & Cons (Mr. Pink)
Pros | Cons |
---|---|
pH balanced; safe maintenance soap | Foam is lighter, runs off faster on vertical panels |
Rinses without sticky residue | Lower perceived lubrication during contact on soft paint |
Works in buckets and cannons | Needs more agitation on road film vs. Super Soaper |
Our Test Setup
- Two identical vehicles, same day and conditions
- Same foam cannon/orifice and electric pressure washer
- Same wash media (Orange Wash Microfiber Towel) and rinse method
- Dilutions: Mr. Pink per label; Super Soaper at 2–4 oz in a 32 oz bottle; cannon dial tuned first
Results
Foam Density & Cling
Mr. Pink produced airy foam that slid off quicker. Super Soaper created a thicker, shaving-cream-like layer that clung to vertical panels longer, improving dwell and lift.
Lubrication (Contact Safety)
On the wash pass, the mitt/towel felt slicker with Super Soaper. On soft/black paint, that extra film reduced the risk of micro-marring.
Rinse & Finish
Both rinsed clean. The Super Soaper side felt noticeably slicker after rinse, which made drying with the Massive Drying Towel faster and safer.
Head-to-Head Summary

Best Use | Light maintenance washes | Safest contact on soft/black paint |
Dial-In Guide (Foam Cannon)
- Fill a 32 oz cannon bottle with 2–4 oz Super Soaper, top with water.
- Turn the cannon mix dial toward MAX SOAP; tune the dial first before adding more product.
- Use shaded, cool panels; let foam dwell 2–3 minutes; rinse top-down.
Who Should Choose What?
- Stick with Mr. Pink if your car is lightly soiled and you’re happy with a standard maintenance soap.
- Switch to Super Soaper if you want denser foam, higher lubrication, and safer contact—especially on dark, soft paint.
Final Verdict
Mr. Pink is fine for basic maintenance. But if you’re chasing swirl-safe contact and a slick, clean rinse, Jimbo’s Super Soaper is the obvious upgrade.
Best Mr. Pink Alternative: Super Soaper
Dense, clingy foam + high lubrication for safer washes—especially on black paint.
