Foam Cannon Not Foaming? Here's Why (And How to Fix It)

You're not alone—tons of people are frustrated by weak foam. But it’s almost never the soap. It’s your setup.

Problem #1: You’re Not Using Enough Product

If your foam cannon is barely sudsing up, it could be you’re just not using enough concentrated soap. We recommend at least 2–4 ounces of a high-quality foam soap like The Super Soaper per full foam cannon bottle.

Problem #2: You’re Using the Wrong Soap

Generic soaps don’t foam well—and some are so watered down they can’t do the job. The Super Soaper is designed specifically for pressure washers and foam cannons, and it works whether you’re touchless or using a wash mitt.

Problem #3: Water Pressure or Injector Issues

If you’re using a pressure washer, make sure it’s at least 1.5 GPM and 1500 PSI. Anything less and your foam cannon won’t be able to pull enough soap to create thick suds.

Problem #4: You Need to Clean or Replace the Mesh Filter

Over time, your foam cannon’s internal mesh filter can get clogged with soap scum and debris. Remove it, rinse thoroughly, or replace if needed.

How to Maximize Foam Every Time

  • Use warm water in the foam cannon bottle
  • Shake well before every use
  • Dial in your soap-to-water ratio (start at 2oz and increase if needed)

Why I Use The Super Soaper

Thick foam, easy rinsing, and no gimmicks. It’s my go-to for every detail—and I designed it to be that way.
