Foam not looking like the YouTube videos? Don’t worry—it’s not your pressure washer. Here's how to dial in thick foam with the ProFlow PM2000.

What Most People Get Wrong

The biggest mistake new users make is thinking the pressure washer alone creates foam. In reality, foam thickness depends more on the soap formula and how you prep it than the machine itself.

The 3 Keys to Thick Foam

1. Use a Soap Made for Foam Cannons

Most soaps aren’t built for foam. All-purpose cleaners and “wash & wax” combos don’t produce thick, clingy foam—even if you’re using a high-end machine.

The Super Soaper was made specifically for foam setups like the PM2000. It’s ultra-concentrated and designed to activate even with low GPM electric units.

2. Warm Water + Proper Dilution

Use warm water (not hot) to mix your soap. It helps the concentrate dissolve better and creates more consistent foam. Start with:

  • 2 oz for light foam (maintenance washes)
  • 4 oz for thick foam (heavy or dirty jobs)

Mix with 28 oz of warm water in your foam cannon bottle. Shake well before attaching.

3. Let It Dwell—Then Rinse or Wash

Once the foam hits the surface, let it sit for 3–5 minutes. This allows the surfactants to break down dirt and lift grime. Don’t let it dry. Rinse with your PM2000, or wash using a high-pile microfiber towel for maximum safety.

What About the PM2000’s Foam Cannon?

The included cannon is decent—but like most stock units, it’s not the best for ultra-thick foam. That’s fine. With the right soap and prep, you’ll still get awesome results. Want even thicker foam? Upgrade to a cannon with brass fittings and adjustable orifice size.

Final Foam Tips

  • Don’t over-dilute the soap—thicker doesn’t mean better if it runs off too fast
  • Use a fan spray setting for better coverage
  • Apply foam top to bottom to avoid streaking
