Can You Use Ceramic Spray in Direct Sunlight?
Technically yes—but it’s not ideal.
Tough As Shell is safe to use outdoors, but heat speeds up drying and can lead to streaks or haze if you’re not careful.
What Can Go Wrong?
- ❌ Flashing too fast
- ❌ Streaks or smearing
- ❌ Harder to buff clean
How to Apply in the Sun (If You Have To)
- Work panel by panel—no more than 2’ x 2’
- Spray directly onto a towel, not the panel
- Buff off immediately with a second towel
Best Practice
- ✔️ Apply in the shade or indoors whenever possible
- ✔️ Cool the surface with water before application if needed
